ángel faraldo (es, 1980) is a musician concerned with improvisation, digital instrument design and composition. his most recent projects include the interactive sound-installation diario de cualquiera [2006-2007] (madrid, oct 2007) and apropiación [2006] (madrid, june 2006) for two computer-processed narrators, pre-recorded music and choir. his tape piece talla [2005] was selected in the 1st radio art context “en el aire”, organized by hablar en arte (madrid). he is the author of the soundtracks for the shortfilms stadt-fisch (patrizia monzani, 2006) and café solo (naiara seara and estíbaliz a. ruiz, 2002).

as an improviser he has performed in spain, the netherlands, greece (athens), germany (dresden) and england (london), with improvisers such as günter heinz (de), érica zisa (ar), joe tornabene (usa), raoul van der weide (nl), ricardo tejero (es), mike majkowski (au) or yolanda uriz (es), and with ensembles such as orquesta foco (es), the royal improvisers orchestra (nl) and giv (es). he teaches courses and workshops on improvisation and computer music.
